A Video! About Me!!!
March 7, 2008
My new friend, Andrew from Studio MSV stalked me for a couple of days before I had the nerve to return his calls. He wanted to see if I was interested in putting together a little promo video to play on a loop at the Promises and Pearls event that we were both showcasing at. My initial response was “Oh No! I have to lose some weight and there is no time!!!” Being that we aren’t quite yet in our busy season I also didn’t know if we could swing one of my couples and have full cooperation from the weather to do something with only a week before the show. As it turned out, Quentin and Leah’s wedding day passed them by so quickly that they missed an individual formal shot with her mother and had asked if I would come and take a couple of shots. I was more than happy to, but then realized… Wait! Are they getting all dolled up again? Let’s not let that go to just a five minute shoot! I asked if they would be interested in getting some extra shots on location for a video and they were thrilled to oblige! So, within a week’s time, we all coordinated schedules and viola! We have a video.
I want to preface just how nervous I was being on film. Truly, being on camera DOES add at least 10 pounds on you, especially to women (because I don’t think most guys would ever notice)! And I hate my voice. Maria Chang and I were laughing at ourselves because I was telling her my fears about being on camera and we both agreed that we just don’t get why we look so horrible on camera because when we look in the mirror we look fabulous! lololol! Poor Andrew had to keep reassuring me that I would love it.
When Andrew sent me the video, I sat there covering my face with both hands, peaking through my fingers with a huge grin on my face. He did such an incredible job, I was completely amazed. My husband Scott asks me everyday how many times I’ve watched my video. I’m getting a little better now, only a couple of times a day

Here are a few shots from the video shoot. One of my associates, Rob, came along to capture a few behind the scenes shots too!
A million thank you’s again to Andrew from Studio MSV. If you are still in need of a videographer for your wedding go check him out! Now!!!
For the record – No, I did not make Leah scale a 10 foot wall. On the other side of the fountain, the wall is only about 3 or 4 feet tall

Typical Videographer always getting in my shots! lol

For whatever reason… Maybe because you can’t see my face
or maybe it’s the warmth of the sunflair, but I love this shot Rob got of me!

Parties!
March 6, 2008
I’ve been busy lately with shoots, meetings, album designs and partying! I had the incredible pleasure of hanging out with some of my wedding friends and meet lots of new friends too. The fabulous Maria Chang picked me up for each event! She is such a doll and it’s so fun getting to ride with her; we have a lot of fun together!
I’ll start with Justin Fone’s Premiere debut of their new studio in the SOMA district of San Francisco! We had a blast, but I failed to bring my camera out so friend and fellow fab photog, Augie Chang has allowed me to post a few of his shots! For those of you who don’t know, Justin is a sought after video production company specializing in weddings! He’s a super cool dude to hang out with too. Check out more party pics on Justin’s blog! Thanks Augie!
Here’s Justin!

The next event we had was the BAWN {Bay Area Wedding Network} Gala! This was a very formal event with incredible decor and the food was to die for! I, once again, failed to bring my camera
So this image is from My beloved Maria’s “normal person” camera. We had a fabulous time and pretty much closed the place down!

And last, but certainly NOT the least… Studio MSV’s Re-Launch Party! the party was the day after the BAWN event and Maria and I were dragging! I’m not sure how young we think we are nowadays, but geesh! We were exhausted from all of the partying! The minute you walked into dekker swanky SF studio space, you are just in awe! It was the most perfect space to showcase your work and throw a kickin’ party! I was able to reconnect with a few friends and meet new ones of course! I challenged myself to actually bring my camera and shoot the event. I gave up halfway through and handed the camera off to Linnae of Asiel Design. Augie, of course, was there to cover the event so I stole some of his pics to post too! Thanks Augie!!!
Oh, and I wanted to say something sweet about Andrew of MSV Studio formerly known as Morning Star Video. He’s awesome! After the launch party he stalked me for a couple of days to see about doing a promo video for the Promises and Pearls event! I’ll post more about that later. Needless to say, Andrew is a sweet sweet guy and really really talented. I can’t wait for our next wedding together!!!
