The most amazing Bridal Shower!
June 6, 2007
Scott and I are getting married in San Francisco this September. Our wedding theme, well, my wedding theme is Old World Ballroom meets Modern Bling. Our colors are classic black and white and we are going to incorporate crystals wherever we can. So, I am totally into anything black and white and vintage right now! So much so that I have changed my logo colors to black and white and have been creating images with a very timeless vintage feel to them. The technique is what I like to call ‘Vintage Vogue’.So, with a little background of my wedding and current mood, you will better be able to appreciate what my girls did for my shower. I arrived early to take photos of everything and when I entered the room, I had about 10 of my most favorite people standing there to greet me. I turned to the living room to find a long table the entire length of the room covered in green (my favorite color!!!) with a damask patterned table runner, vases of hydrangeas, and black chivari chairs! I gasped and immediately got tears in my eyes. As I approached the tables for a closer look, they had black square plates and a custom menu. Over to the side were individual raspberry chocolate cakes and custom cookies with an ‘S’ in the theme colors - not sure if the ‘S’ was for Scott, Stewart, or Skog but they sure were tasty. Everything was perfect! As if that wasn’t enough, I turned the corner into the kitchen to find the most delicious spread of finger foods and off in the corner was little mojito bar with a full service sexy bartender (My MOH Jen’s husband, Brad). He made the most incredible blueberry mojitos! Everybody wore black and white and we all had such a fun time! Good job girls, you definitely outdid yourself this time!

Blueberry Mojitos. MMMMM. And check out the sweet little umbrella! Hand made with some matching paper and wooden skewers! So Cute!

This was watermelon soup and so AMAZING. I’m not typically one for cold soup, but this was fantastic! I need to get the recipe!

My gorgeous sister and Maid of Honor, Lindsay

I got so many fun gifts! This was a black and white apron with rubber gloves. When I came home and showed Scott he said “Did you let them know that you don’t clean?”. Funny thing is, that is exactly what we were laughing about when this pic was taken…

And a group photo – thanks brad for being such a good sport! I know these showers are just so fun!

Thanks again ladies! This party is magazine worthy!
Seriously, where does the time go?

The month of May was definitely a crazy one! Besides having awesome couples to shoot and sexy brides (boudoir pics), I also turned 30, converted from PC to mac, and had the most amazing bridal shower thrown for me! As many of you know, I am getting married to the love of my life this year and we are just about at the 3 month mark, so it’s getting really exciting! Ok, so back to blogging….
My Emergency Apendectomy
March 8, 2007
Hi everyone. I just wanted to write a quick note to everyone who may be expecting a response from me. Scott took me into the ER Monday evening due to excruciating stomach pains and as it turned out, I needed to have my appendix removed. I was under pain meds and responded with “Oh well, if I’m out by noon tomorrow, I can still make it to my afternoon shoot!”. Apparently that wasn’t the case. I’ve pretty much been useless for the past two days trying to get on the computer to get some work done, but to no avail. I have responded to a few emails, but unfortunately, my pain medication makes me very nauseous and I can’t stay on the computer for too long. I’m trying to wean myself off of them so I can get some work done! My apologies to anyone who is waiting for images to be posted or a response from me. I hope to back to work in the next couple of days, thanks for your patience!
Oh yeah, and I am fine, it was a minor laparoscopic surgery with 3 small incisions. Hopefully I will be shooting by next week!
Scott made a joke that we should save this for the BLOG… so I did!
