A Video! About Me!!!
March 7, 2008
My new friend, Andrew from Studio MSV stalked me for a couple of days before I had the nerve to return his calls. He wanted to see if I was interested in putting together a little promo video to play on a loop at the Promises and Pearls event that we were both showcasing at. My initial response was “Oh No! I have to lose some weight and there is no time!!!” Being that we aren’t quite yet in our busy season I also didn’t know if we could swing one of my couples and have full cooperation from the weather to do something with only a week before the show. As it turned out, Quentin and Leah’s wedding day passed them by so quickly that they missed an individual formal shot with her mother and had asked if I would come and take a couple of shots. I was more than happy to, but then realized… Wait! Are they getting all dolled up again? Let’s not let that go to just a five minute shoot! I asked if they would be interested in getting some extra shots on location for a video and they were thrilled to oblige! So, within a week’s time, we all coordinated schedules and viola! We have a video.
I want to preface just how nervous I was being on film. Truly, being on camera DOES add at least 10 pounds on you, especially to women (because I don’t think most guys would ever notice)! And I hate my voice. Maria Chang and I were laughing at ourselves because I was telling her my fears about being on camera and we both agreed that we just don’t get why we look so horrible on camera because when we look in the mirror we look fabulous! lololol! Poor Andrew had to keep reassuring me that I would love it.
When Andrew sent me the video, I sat there covering my face with both hands, peaking through my fingers with a huge grin on my face. He did such an incredible job, I was completely amazed. My husband Scott asks me everyday how many times I’ve watched my video. I’m getting a little better now, only a couple of times a day

Jen, could you *be* any cuter? I watched the video last night and laughed at all your little quirks. Love the shot of you covered in dirt and leaves – nothing says “I’m a glamorous photographer” like muck. You’re die hard!
