A Video! About Me!!!
March 7, 2008
My new friend, Andrew from Studio MSV stalked me for a couple of days before I had the nerve to return his calls. He wanted to see if I was interested in putting together a little promo video to play on a loop at the Promises and Pearls event that we were both showcasing at. My initial response was “Oh No! I have to lose some weight and there is no time!!!” Being that we aren’t quite yet in our busy season I also didn’t know if we could swing one of my couples and have full cooperation from the weather to do something with only a week before the show. As it turned out, Quentin and Leah’s wedding day passed them by so quickly that they missed an individual formal shot with her mother and had asked if I would come and take a couple of shots. I was more than happy to, but then realized… Wait! Are they getting all dolled up again? Let’s not let that go to just a five minute shoot! I asked if they would be interested in getting some extra shots on location for a video and they were thrilled to oblige! So, within a week’s time, we all coordinated schedules and viola! We have a video.
I want to preface just how nervous I was being on film. Truly, being on camera DOES add at least 10 pounds on you, especially to women (because I don’t think most guys would ever notice)! And I hate my voice. Maria Chang and I were laughing at ourselves because I was telling her my fears about being on camera and we both agreed that we just don’t get why we look so horrible on camera because when we look in the mirror we look fabulous! lololol! Poor Andrew had to keep reassuring me that I would love it.
When Andrew sent me the video, I sat there covering my face with both hands, peaking through my fingers with a huge grin on my face. He did such an incredible job, I was completely amazed. My husband Scott asks me everyday how many times I’ve watched my video. I’m getting a little better now, only a couple of times a day
Photos from the Video!

Here are a few shots from the video shoot. One of my associates, Rob, came along to capture a few behind the scenes shots too!
A million thank you’s again to Andrew from Studio MSV. If you are still in need of a videographer for your wedding go check him out! Now!!!
For the record – No, I did not make Leah scale a 10 foot wall. On the other side of the fountain, the wall is only about 3 or 4 feet tall

Typical Videographer always getting in my shots! lol

For whatever reason… Maybe because you can’t see my face
or maybe it’s the warmth of the sunflair, but I love this shot Rob got of me!
If you want to see more of andrew’s work, check out his blog!
Elliana is 18 months!
March 6, 2008
My good friend and hair stylist’s daughter, Elliana is 18 months old! I could not believe it when I walked in the door and saw this little pumpkin pie staring back at me. Oh man she is so cute! I can’t believe how quickly time passes by – I hadn’t seen her since her first birthday before my wedding! She walks and talks and has a real haircut. So freaking cute! I have so many ladies tell me that they hope they baby girl is as cute as Elliana! I laugh and agree but it’s not all looks – her expressions and personality are just too much! We saw it from her first photo shoot at a couple weeks old!
She loved seeing herself in the camera lens, so she would just creep right up in front my lens – I had to switch to my 24mm 1.4 lens so I could get her little expression – that lens lets you focus as close to 6 inches! Hence with a little wider lens her head is a little bigger, but so cute!!!! Just check out those beautiful big blue eyes!
Silly.
Happy.
Excited.
Peaceful.
Grouchy Little Diva.
Isn’t her little outfit so cute?! Dad came home and thought her mini silk tunic was a little risque, but I just thought it was the cutest thing ever!
Eric and Carrie {engaged}
March 6, 2008
Scott and I met Eric and Carrie through mutual friends a few years ago. Since then we partied with them from time to time. One night I saw them out and went to congratulated them on their recent engagement. Eric instantly got excited and said “Hey what’s your last name?” and I said “Skog S-K-O-G, why?” and suddenly Carrie got all excited and said “Oh my gosh! You’re Jennifer Skog? We love your work!?!” I then felt very excited and well, needless to say, I’m shooting their wedding! Fun!
We had a little photo shoot at a local park because I really wanted them to feel comfortable in front of the camera with me. So, we had fun!!! Oh, and I got tons of sun flair! YUM!
